We have a selection of gorgeous properties that have been styled by our Property Mums styling team. Our houses range from cute little two bedroom cottages for a quiet intimate weekend to large nine bedroom houses big enough to gather the largest of extended families all under one roof.
In Melbourne our houses have been set up for both holidays and to be your medium term, home away from home. If you are unable to live in your own house for some reason, reach out to us and we will try our best to help you find an appropriate house for the medium term while your primary residence is unavailable. Making memories is so important, they last a lifetime and we want to ensure your holiday starts on the right foot by ensuring the houses are set up perfectly every single time.
We are a passionate group of mums that are 100% focused on ensuring your stay runs smoothly. We employ mostly Mums, it’s the perfect job for Mums, our house set-ups need to happen between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Admin jobs can happen mostly from home. We are here to take your calls and emails. As we all work from home, we don’t ever close. If you need help during your stay, we will be here to help.
Meet Kim
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Kim Steel has been in the short term rental industry for fourteen years when she purchased her first holiday rental in Red Hill. To say she’s passionate about the houses and guests the Property Mums team take care of, is probably an understatement, maybe obsessed is a more accurate description.
Having been a Property Investor for over twenty years, Kim doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk, she knows what it takes to run short term rentals so guests love their experience and owners are rewarded for their investment and trust in Property Mums. As the owner and co-owner of three big properties on the Mornington Peninsula, Kim is intimately acquainted with the short term rental holiday market in Melbourne and surrounds.
Kim has developed a holiday house financial formula, if you follow this when purchasing and setting up a property you will return around 20% from the property. Kim’s own properties return 20% to 25%

Property styling
Following a career in international event management, Ashlea followed her passion for interiors and opened her own interior styling and homewares store in 2015 and has been styling and decorating homes since.
Ashlea now heads up our Interior Design and Styling Service and works closely with Kim to ensure houses are set up beautifully to cater for a wide range of guests. She is committed to creating beautiful functional spaces for either living in or for guests and owners to enjoy.
Supporting Local
There’s so many more in the Property Mum team, we employ around ten other Mums that help us with resetting the houses and guest support. We are gathering the best of the best!. Our team is expanding quickly and we look forward to welcoming more passionate property mums to the team.
